LATEST WORLD NEWS - KIDS HEALTH

AFGHANISTAN
Afghanistan's recent history is characterized by war and civil strife, with intermittent periods of relative calm and stability. The Soviet Union invaded in 1979 but was forced to withdraw 10 years later by anti-Communist mujahidin forces supplied and trained by the US, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and others.

ANTS TALK
You can create all sorts of messages by putting the same words together in different ways. Some kids paint fine. Some fine kids paint. Paint some fine kids! Animals give messages to one another too. Without words, how do they do it? Some use scents, not sounds. For instance, tropical tree ants make ten different kinds of smells. They combine the smells in various ways, like words in a sentence. Different mixtures give information about nests, food, and enemies. How brilliant!
